Outreach and Missions
“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord,
and he will repay him for his deeds." [Proverbs 19:17]
Presbyterian Disciples Church takes an active and dedicated role to supporting the needs of our local community through various outreach and mission programs. We would welcome any and all individuals who want and need to serve Christ through these worthwhile programs.
Christ's Cupboard
Christ's Cupboard offers individuals and families who might find themselves in need of food. Local churches collect food staples to support this Outreach program.
Backpack Program
Local students who have been identified as being in a food deprived home receive a "backpack" of food items each Friday during the school year. These pantry stable items assist hunger issues that are present in our community.
Ministerial Alliance
The Ministerial Alliance assists individuals and families in need. We offer financial and other support for crisis situations and short term services.
Mobile Food Pantry
Each month, individuals and families may collect a variety of fresh food supplies at the Mobile Food Pantry. Those in need may request a voucher so they may receive fresh dairy, fruits, and vegetables.

Meals on Wheels
This food nutrition program for elderly and disabled citizens is dependent on churches and individuals to volunteer to deliver hot meals daily. Presbyterian Disciples Church commits to two week food delivery each quarter. Volunteers should have reliable transportation and a cheerful disposition. Delivery begins a bit before 11: 00 a.m. and generally takes about an hour.
